Well that just about covers all my bases doesn't it. Typically the holiday/vacation season isn't taken seriously in my family..even less so this year. I'm not taking ANY vacation time from work during the holidays AND I'm attending Winter Session at Rutgers which starts on December 23rd [my last final for fall semester is December 20 so no break]. The Winter Session class is five days a week from 1800 to 2200 [for all you folks who need help that 6PM to 10PM] and doesn't end until January 13 [Spring semester starts January 18].
The only people I plan on buying anything for is any relations under the age of 18...and even then probably only the small children...
I'm not a Scrooge per se but I am a bit cynical about the monetary and predatory nature of the holiday season. Seriously a mall can be a scary place if you wait until the thick of the holiday season to go shopping. Even worse is if a store has a limited supply of some hot toy and people are lining up waiting for the store to open **shudder** scary...
Also not into the decorations thing...setting holiday decorations up to take them down a month later? Please, I'd probably leave it up until it came time to to use them again...next year
But hey my husband and I can pretend to be festive with the best of them and we've got the holiday cards to prove it...now if we could just decide which picture to use we'd be good to go
